Our house
A family table, a few steps from Tonel beach
a Sagres is a traditional restaurant in the village of Sagres, on Avenida Infante D. Henrique. The room is rustic but warm: a fireplace for cooler evenings, candlelight, and a school of iron fish swimming across the wall. Calm, discreet and comfortable.
João Pedro looks after the dining room and welcomes guests in five languages. Paula Cristina runs the kitchen. Together they cook regional, traditional food from the day's catch, with a wine list chosen to go with it. Save room for dessert: they are made here.
“We let our photos speak for us. Come and visit, you won't regret it.”

We went here after a recommendation from a taxi driver. It is a lovely, local, family run relaxed place. We had grilled dorado (freshly caught that day) which was just delicious… Very good value for money as well.

It's my favourite restaurant in Sagres. With the best fresh fish from the Southwestern coast of Europe. Its grilled bream, sardines, and other species are top. As well as its stuffed squid, octopus rice, and other specialities.

It was an absolute joy having lunch there. Decoration: not pretentious but decorated with taste. Food: … a kind of fish casserole that was delicious… Service: great service, very helpful, nice and charming.
